**Position Overview**: - Ongoing | Full Time | $80k - $105k +15.4% super - Sutherland Shire location | Health & Wellbeing Programs | On-site free parking - Opportunity for career growth & development, and to engage in cross discipline activities - Provide crucial technical support to the Centre for Accelerator Science in achieving safety compliance - Diverse variety of work | Make science and physics happen **About the Opportunity**: The Accelerator Support Technician - Electrical/Electronics, provides electro-technology expertise to ensure the safe, reliable and high performance of the 4 accelerators by supporting the maintenance and development team that ensures the facilities are in ready to use state for the accelerator research. **About You**: - "We are looking for a collaborative and creative person to join our multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians. You will be working with shared goals to deliver safe and efficient operation of our fleet of megavolt particle accelerators, associate beamlines, and unique apparatus. This would suit someone who is passionate about using great technology, tools and facilities to grow and realise their talents."_ - **David Button, Acting ASD Manager** **Your Duties and Responsibilities**: - Plan, organise and implement routine and unscheduled maintenance of plant and equipment, using technical expertise to diagnose, repair and return equipment back to service in a timely manner. - Plan and execute improvements and upgrades to existing systems. - Comply with all local electrical safety rules. - Assist in the design, development and construction of prototype equipment and components. - Utilise judgement to assess priorities of multiple work orders and consulting with the supervisor when necessary. - Maintaining an inventory of crucial components and support instrumentation, to ensure that repairs and maintenance can be conducted on demand. **About Us**: **Benefits of Working with Us**: ANSTO employees are passionate about what they do.
