**Childcare Room Leader**

Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre is a family owned and operated service with almost 10 years’ experience in the industry. We are passionate about delivering high quality education guided by the Early Years Framework & National Quality Standards catering for children aged 1 to 6 years to ensure that individual development is being catered for, encouraged & enhanced.

At Smart Cookies we base our indoor & outdoor curriculum around children’s interest and family input. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn in a happy, safe, stimulating & inclusive environment that supports children’s agency & enhances their learning.

We are looking for a motivated and passionate room leader to join our wonderful team in our new and exciting Beecroft location.

**About the Role**:

- Create a friendly, stimulating and interactive learning environment
- Facilitate & lead the learning experiences for your allocated room
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs
- Complete observations and portfolios for children in your allocated room
- Maintain effective communication with parents throughout the service
- Create & maintain positive working relationships with all team members
- Contribute to and implement a Quality Improvement Plan
- Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
- Good knowledge of the NQS & EYLF including Assessment & Rating
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Completed child protection training
- Ability to lead & work as part of a cohesive and supportive team environment, nurturing authentic connections with children & families
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Good time management skills and able to work with minimum supervision using own initiatives
- Previous experience in a similar role
