As a **Strategic Sourcing Analyst**, you will report to the Director of Strategic Development based in the **Clayton office** on a **Fixed-term Contract of 24 months as a Part-timer (2 days per week)**. You will identify opportunities and procure materials, services, and supplies that meet operational and project goals for architectural trade and production operations. LI-Onsite **Responsibilities** - Ensuring product stewardship principles are applied to supplier selection including support of EH&S principles and considering community and environmental factors. - Being up to date with knowledge of trade practices laws and awareness of policies. - Assessing the trade practices & ethical implications of business activities. - Being aware of and seeking appropriate resources including legal advice as appropriate. - Evaluating and selecting vendors based on stipulated specifications, quality, cost, and supply through competitive bidding. - Initiating alternate sourcing and cost minimization activities. - Working collaboratively with the business including finance, logistics, supply chain, production, engineering, planning, technical, and other business units where appropriate. - Monitor expenditures and comply with the internal control process of all policies and procedures. - Gather local market data, interpret trends, and identify opportunities to maximize value relevant to target and non-raw materials relevant to the project scope or as otherwise directed. - Conducting internal audits on processes to ensure they are meeting PPG’s requirements. - Identify and recommend purchasing administrative processes and systems improvements. **Requirements**: - Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, or a related degree. - Relevant experience in a procurement/purchasing role and materials management. - Experience in the management of commercial and contractual conditions and documentation. - Chemical manufacturing/process manufacturing experience is advantageous. - FMCG/Manufacturing/Retail experience is highly regarded. - Project Management skills. **About us**: **PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD** **The PPG Way** Every day at PPG: **We partner with customers to create mutual value.** We are insightful, dedicated, and proactive.
