**OSHC Coordinator**

**Role Overview**:
As the Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our service, working full time (38 hours per week) in block shifts that dovetail with the hours worked by the Service Director to ensure continuous presence in management when the children and young people are at the service.

**Responsibilities**:
In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for:

- Guiding and supporting a team of enthusiastic educators to deliver engaging and enriching experiences for the children.
- Cultivating respectful and meaningful relationships with children, young people, and their families, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
- Managing service rostering efficiently to maintain smooth operations.
- Stepping into the role of person-in-charge in the absence of the Service Director, ensuring the seamless continuation of services.
- Developing and implementing robust WH&S practices, including adherence to Child Safe Standards, risk management, and minimisation.
- Ensuring thorough medical conditions auditing and maintenance, including medical management, risk minimisation, and communication plans.
- Facilitating educator meetings and training sessions in collaboration with the Director and Pedagogical Leader, fostering professional growth and development.
- Upholding child safeguarding and child protection practices, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people in our care.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- A relevant qualification in education, early childhood, or a related field or working towards one
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in OSHC leadership roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, young people, families, and team members.
- Excellent knowledge of the National Quality Framework including the National Standards and My Time Our Place.
- Sound understanding of WH&S practices, Child Safe Standards, and risk management procedures.
- A commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children and young people.

Pay: $38.00 - $44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 38 per week
