**About us**
Organisational Context Monash Caulfield Child Care Centre is a not for profit, parent committee managed centre, funded by DEECD and DEEWR and sponsored by Monash University. MCCC actively engages and participates in the National Quality Framework, is committed to ongoing reflective practice and quality improvement. Up to 50 children attend MCCC on a daily basis and are divided into 3 rooms: an Infant room - Binbeal Room (0-2), a toddler room - Waa Room (2-3) and a Kindergarten room - Bunjil Room (3-5). The Bunjil room also has an integrated a 3 and 4 year old government funded kindergarten program. MCCC is committed to providing an early childhood environment that enables high quality care and education with a strong focus on building nurturing and supportive relationships with families, children, educators and the community.
**Qualifications & experience**
- A Bachelor or Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent ACECQA approved
- Current VIT Registration (Early Childhood)
- Early Childhood teacher experience preferred
**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Plan, implement, assess and evaluate a high quality and diverse educational program based on the VEYLDF and EYLF frameworks
- Actively support every child to participate in the program ensuring that children’s agency and interests are promoted
- Ensure that all practices are in accordance with the National Quality Framework and reflect the philosophy, policies and procedures of MCCC
- Implement effective health and hygiene practices, including meeting all early childhood regulations relating to medical management plans, risk management plans, policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain respectful, supportive, collaborative and responsive relationships with the staff, families and children
- Inform parents about their children’s care and educational program and the Centre’s operation, also using our online platform Storypark
- Undertake twice yearly Parent and Teacher interviews, setting relevant learning goals in collaboration with families
- Ensure that equipment and resources are maintained at an optimum level, setting up play spaces in an inviting and age appropriate way
- Contribute to the Centre’s continuous improvement through reflective practice and as directed by the Director and the Educational Leader
- Working knowledge and understanding of the KIMs system and how to complete and implement a School Readiness Funding Plan
