**About the Role**:
We're currently seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to lead our talented kitchen team on a permanent full-time basis. _This role will be for 5 days per week, approx 40 hours per week, including both Sat and Sun shifts. _

Key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

- COOKING You must be willing & able to cook on the line, and to a high standard.
- Supervise kitchen operations: including the ability to provide directives to chefs during prep, service and post-service periods.
- Provide real-time feedback to staff and assist in providing development opportunities to team members.
- Train and onboard new BOH team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Collaborate promptly with the Café Manager and General Manager on the development of new menu items.
- Manage ordering processes for the kitchen.
- Ensure the kitchen’s strict adherence to all food safety standards. This includes but is not limited to:

- The day-to-day management & storage of potentially hazardous foods.
- Daily temperature testing and recording for potentially hazardous foods, as well as all refrigeration equipment.
- The maintenance and execution of a comprehensive kitchen cleaning schedule.
- Provide coverage in the event of staffing shortages. Your presence at work under such conditions is invaluable to the team, and your willingness to support in these situations is crucial.

The required skills for this role includes 3+ years previous experience as a senior or sous chef in a high-volume café or restaurant, along with strong leadership skills to inspire and guide the BOH team. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities are essential to manage busy service periods effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary to collaborate effectively with colleagues. A sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards is required, as well as availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
