**What's in it for you?**
This organisation is looking to establish an innovation and product management function in Australia. You'll start with a blank piece of paper, an existing range, an innovation centre in Europe and product management counterparts in other countries to work with. You'll figure out what to keep in the range and map out the innovation opportunities and lead this process, taking the rest of the business; R&D, production, sales and finance along for the journey to market leadership.

You will report to the General Manager and use your years of experience to create a step change in the NPD process and how product is managed and improved. There is also the possibility of building out a marketing team beneath you should your results warrant it.

**Your responsibilities**
- Lead the develop the product/category plan
- Review the market and range and assess opportunities for new products
- New product development and innovation
- Reporting, data analysis, forecasting and segmentation
- Pricing and margin management
- Promotion - strategy regarding the messages and target audience and work closely with agencies and the marketing communications manager team
- Liaise with your counterparts overseas and the innovation and excellence centres

**Your skills and experience**
- You have appropriate marketing qualifications
- Advanced use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Previous experience as a product manager in building products, industrial or allied industries
- Project management and organisation skills
- Professional approach and a friendly attitude
- Ability to influence across the business
- Track record of success and ability to research and assess new markets and develop the product and a go-to-market strategy and execute
