**Your role**
As part of the Child and Family Strategy team, the Assistant Policy Officer undertakes a range of research, analysis, and administrative activities to support the formulation of policy advice that support Agency and/or Government commitments. This includes supporting interjurisdictional projects and whole of agency initiatives.
**What you’ll do**
You will contribute to the delivery of a range of policy related projects and initiatives, undertake basic research and analysis, and contribute to the preparation of reports, draft correspondence, papers and minutes to support the development of policy initiatives.
You will also provide a range of administrative support to support stakeholder engagement and respond to routine queries, providing consistent advice and information. This includes secretariat support for various meetings.
We currently have two positions available, each within a team of 5-6 people. You will enjoy flexible work arrangements including a balance of working from home and from our brand new, state-of-the-art agile workspace at 6 Parramatta Square.
**What we’re looking for**
This role is ideal for you if you’re looking for an opportunity to build your skills and experience in supporting the development of strategic policies and proposals that consider a broad range of issues to improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
The role is suited to a highly organised, proactive and results driven professional with strong research, administrative and analytical skills, who enjoys working collaboratively to support the formulation of policy advice and recommendations that support DCJ and NSW Government commitments.
We are looking for someone who:

- Promotes and actively participates in fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace culture
- Acts with professionalism and integrity at all times
- Has excellent communication and liaison skills.
- Has a keen interest in working in the human services sector.
