**About the Role**:
Red Fox & Co is a retail store offering an inspiring mix of **homewares**, **gifts**, **fashion**, **gourmet** **pantry goods**, and a welcoming **in-house café**. We’re looking for a **customer-focused Casual Retail Sales Assistant** to join our friendly and fast-paced team in **Hoppers Crossing**.

This hands-on role includes delivering **exceptional customer service**, supporting **sales and merchandising**, fulfilling **online orders**, assisting with **café service**, and maintaining excellent **store presentation**.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Customer Service & Sales**
- Deliver outstanding service and create a welcoming in-store experience
- Confidently assist with product advice across homewares, fashion, giftware, and pantry items
- Process sales using POS with accuracy and efficiency
- Handle cash, EFTPOS, and daily reconciliations
- Support sales targets and promotional events

**Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation**
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards across all departments
- Regularly refresh displays to highlight new arrivals and seasonal ranges
- Ensure store areas are clean, tidy, and beautifully presented at all times

**Online Orders & Postage**
- Pick, pack, and fulfill online orders with care and attention to detail
- Prepare parcels for postage and assist with tracking and dispatch
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in order processing

**Café**
- Assist with café service, including preparing and serving hot/cold drinks and light food
- Barista duties if experienced (coffee prep, grinder settings, milk texturing, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, inviting café area for guests

**Housekeeping & Stock Handling**
- Keep shelves stocked, neat, and correctly labelled
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries
- General cleaning duties to maintain hygiene and safety standards

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Retail sales experience** in a homewares, giftware, or lifestyle environment
- Strong understanding of **customer service excellence**:

- Confident with **cash handling**, POS systems, and basic reporting
- Experience or interest in **visual merchandising** and store presentation
- **Barista or café experience** is a plus
- Experience with **order packing, shipping, or online store fulfilment** (advantageous)
- Physically fit and comfortable on your feet, lifting and moving stock
- Available for **weekdays and Saturdays**, with flexibility for peak retail periods
- Must be able to reliably commute to our store in **Hoppers Crossing.**
