The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.

Production Test Engineering is a world class engineering group, responsible for the development, introduction, and lifetime support of production test systems for ResMed products. Our Manufacturing test system solutions ensure ResMed products are of the highest quality and compliant to product specifications.

The Test Engineering Discipline, designs, implements, integrates, and deploys specialised production Test solutions. Maximising production test coverage, while optimising for cost and efficiency. Providing high quality outcomes for ResMed products. Solutions are focus on End of line test in ResMed production sites, but also suppliers upstream, or provision of servicing and test capability downstream of ResMed production sites.Our high-quality test outcomes are sustained with full lifecycle management of Test Solutions by the Test engineering group.

- People management of a 5+ person team including, indirect reports or contingent workers.
- Supporting engineering teams to prioritise actions across many projects, manage scope and scope change, escalate and resolve issues.
- Developing resourcing solutions based on dynamic project demands.
- Providing individual support for team members, coaching and collaborating on development plans, identifying growth opportunities, providing honest and open feedback on performance, and transparency on career progression pathways.
- Developing and communicating a strategy for the Engineering teams and aligning it with other disciplines within the department to achieve business objectives.
- Delivering on business objectives by providing relevant and meaningful direction to employees and appropriate utilisation of resources.
- Collaborating frequently and effectively within the team, with peer teams and managers, and with other disciplines across the business.
- Develop and sustain a capable engineering team that stands out for performance, collaboration and professionalism across the business.
- Contribute to Budget and Resourcing discussions through the business.
- Collaboration across ResMed Businesses and Suppliers to assess, maintain and develop supplier capability to deliver to ResMed’s Quality, Time and Cost expectations for Production test solutions.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

Required:

- You will have demonstrated people leadership experience, ideally of Technical or Engineering teams from 5-10 people in size.
- You will have qualifications in management or equivalent People Management Experience supported by professional development.
- You will have tertiary qualifications in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics, Software, or Electrical engineering) or equivalent Industry experience
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience spread across the Engineering & Management domains.
- You will be comfortable working with highly capable technical teams and have examples of how you've supported or enhanced the capability of your previous teams.
- You'll have a strong collaborative approach to problem solving, delivery estimation and strategy development.
- You’ll be a great communicator, who values openness and honesty and be capable of building rapport with your team, and with other collaborators across the business.

Preferred:

- You may have worked in a product development or manufacturing space and be able to convey your solid understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes and the medical product development lifecycle.
- You may have relevant experience in solution development for plant or fixturing hardware platforms, using a variety of modern hardware design approaches and toolsets. Particularly with exposure to CAD ecosystems. As well as understanding how to achieve DFT/DFM complex production solutions.
- Alternatively, you may have relevant experience in PCBA test development, ICT, FCT or RF for PCBA manufacturing, using a variety of established technology solutions. Particularly with exposure to ICT measurement and test solutions. As well as understanding how to improve DFT/DFM outcomes for complex product solutions.
- You may also have applied understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations, GMP and appropriate ISO Standards for Manufacturing and Product
