Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities
- To receive Specimens
- To Analyse specimens
- To report tests and validate as required
- To report urgent and abnormal results to relevant clinicians
- To Participate in routine testing in Biochemistry, Haematology and Stat Microbiology disciplines
- To Maintain meticulous records of laboratory procedures and ensure adherence to all laboratory safety and quality standards.
- To Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Skills required
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Ability to prepare and process laboratory samples using established protocols.
- Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards.
- Records maintenance skills.
- Ability to perform a range of clinical laboratory tests and chemical analyses on biological samples.
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma ANZSCO Skill level 2
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
