**About the role**
TAFE SA is looking for an experienced professional to lead its Investigations Management Unit. As the Manager, you will oversee critical programs, functions and services related to investigating allegations of serious employee misconduct. This key role involves strategic planning, delivering, and evaluating matters in line with government and organisational policies and standards. You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide leadership in upholding the integrity and accountability of TAFE SA.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the strategic planning, delivery, and evaluation of investigative programs related to employee misconduct.
- Oversee the development and implementation of robust investigative processes and frameworks.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team to conduct complex investigations involving sensitive matters.
- Provide expert advice on critical risks and high-level technical insights into investigations.
- Develop and evaluate policies, procedures, and frameworks to enhance organisational performance and integrity.
- Drive education, coaching, and mentoring programs to build awareness and capability within the organisation.
- Engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and statutory bodies.
**Key Selection Criteria**
Essential
- Extensive experience in leading investigations into serious employee misconduct, including fraud, computer crimes, or sexual offenses.
- Strong knowledge of forensic and contemporary investigation techniques and legislative frameworks in South Australia.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing organisational policies, training programs, and assurance systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and resources effectively, meeting critical deadlines and budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, foster effective working relationships, negotiate and influence complex matters, and provide strategic advice.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive, safe, and diverse work environment.
Preferred
- Qualifications in Law, Human Resources, and/or integrity professional standards or equivalent.
- Experience in reviewing processes to increase responsiveness, flexibility, productivity, and the relevance of work practices.
- Completion of a Detective training course, Certificate IV in Government (Investigation), or equivalent qualification.
