We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Coordinator at our Jandakot Hope Road Depot, on a full-time permanent basis.
**About this role**
As the Inventory Coordinator you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of materials within Western Powers Inventory & Planning team. Key requirements include running replenishment models to ensure that optimal inventory levels are maintained to exceed our customer’s expectation of material availability whilst minimising stock holdings and cost. Contract and supplier performance management skills and aptitude to ensure Materials Suppliers are performing in line with contract requirements and delivering high service levels (DIFOT) and value for money across their portfolio.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers valued up to $20M covering between 100 and 1,000 SKU’s.
- Deliver optimal inventory levels required to achieve key service and cost targets to support deliverability of the Works Program, Projects, and external sales.
- Manage suppliers to a strict set of KPI’s and ensure all targets are met monthly.
- Key customer contact in short stock situations and requirement to manage expectations, prioritise demand and provide accurate and timely communication to all parties.
- Update system with key supply information from a range of inventory suppliers.
- Manage cataloguing of stock items
- Manage portfolio of SKUs to ensure mínimal loss of product to obsolescence or excess stock write off.
- Place inventory purchase orders based on system replenishment parameters.
- Monitor and report on the replenishment of inventories and ensure all processes comply with approved policies.
- Oversee response to Quality Assurance issues.
- Respond professionally with solutions to enquiries from internal and external clients.
- Develop and document process maps and work instructions for the Materials Supply team.
- Implement agreed supply plan based on forecast information provided by the customer and demand team to ensure all customer requirements are met.
- Analyse monthly data, research performance issues and identify trends and report actions as required (Root Cause Analysis).
**About you**
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Relevant diploma / degree or progression towards tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline
- Exposure to APICS, CIPSA or similar inventory management disciplines
- Relevant industry experience, sound skills and knowledge, with a minimum 3+ years on the job experience in an inventory/materials management or purchasing role
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining good working relationships
- Solid communication, writing and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to set work priorities and meet deadlines
