**About the role**

An integral role within Communify’s In Home Support Service, the In Home Support Worker role provides individualised support for the needs of older and frail aged people with a physical or mental health disability and their carers. This role provides safe, reliable support services to elderly, frail clients by physically assisting them with daily routines.

The **In Home Support Service** is guided by its core aim - to support clients to remain living safely in their homes.

**_To be successful in this role we require availability between Monday and Friday 6am to 8pm and there are options for weekend work. You must have a reliable car to drive throughout the community visiting clients in their homes._**

**Duties**
- Assisting client with personal care: showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence care
- Providing domestic assistance: cooking, household cleaning, laundry and ironing tasks
- Social support: grocery shopping, socialising
- Medication assistance and transport to access community and medical appointments

**Skills, qualification and experience**
- Cert III in Aged Care, Individual Support or similar completed or near completion
- Medication Competency certificate and current First Aid certificate
- **Own reliable, insured and clean vehicle with full open QLD Drivers Licence**:

- Physically capable of meeting the requirements of the role including 2 doses of COVID vaccine
- Evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- The capacity to work flexible hours on a roster system (including weekends, evenings and early mornings)
