About us
Court Services Victoria was established in 2014 to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victorian courts, VCAT, Judicial College of Victoria and Judicial Commission of Victoria (collectively referred to as the 'Courts Group'). We do this by providing administrative services and facilities necessary for the Victorian courts, VCAT and other entities to operate independently of direction by executive government. Our people - whether in the Courts Group or the administrative and corporate centre - enable the Courts Group to deliver on their own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly. They also aspire to several key principles that underpin our workplace culture to enable delivery of an independent and people-centred Victorian court system, including:

- always keeping the people who use and work in the court's environment front of mind
- meaningful community engagement and striving to deliver the best possible experience for court users and the community
- collaborating where appropriate with Government and justice sector bodies, and
- continually improving the services we deliver.

About the role
The Capability & Leadership Development Lead works collaboratively across all jurisdictions and business areas to build a high-performance culture through the delivery of needs-based and timely training and development solutions. The role is also responsible for learning initiatives aligned to diversity and inclusion, safety health and wellbeing and recruitment, working in collaboration with other People and Culture teams.
This role will establish our career pathways and mature our capability frameworks, improving consistency of use across Courts Group; define people leader expectations and embed these into our development programs and People processes.
About you
You'll bring a confident, collaborative and solution focused approach. You are curious and creative in your approach to organisational development and passionate about building vibrant, inclusive cultures which place people at the heart of everything. You have a track record of successfully implementing organisational development strategies with significant positive impact and are known as a trusted partner with a coaching approach to developing leadership and teams.
Creating outstanding employee experiences is important to you and you have experience leveraging technology to build stellar communication, learning and engagement strategies which support organisational culture transformation.
In addition to being able to develop highly effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you have a sense of humour that adds to your resilience and ability to deliver in a complex environment.
