**About Our Role**:

- Casual production based opportunities with Simplot Echuca
- Shift based positions - work across day / afternoon / night shifts on a Mon-Fri roster (with Sat OT as required)
- Base hourly rates from $45.75 (incl. 25% casual loading) + 20% afternoon shift allowance + 30% night shift allowance + OT (where applicable)

Opportunities exist for casual Production Operators at Simplot Echuca to support our upcoming beetroot season. Simplot's Echuca site dates back to 1978 and produces products under our Leggo’s, Edgell, Chicken Tonight, Raguletto and Harvest brands. Employing over 150 people, Simplot Echuca processes up to 15,000 tonnes of tomato paste each year, 8,000 tonnes of beetroot and has five unique packaging lines (glass jars, canning, plastic squeeze bottles, foil sachet and aseptic filling).

Reporting to the Production Area Manager and commencing April 2025, these casual roles will work as part of a busy production team in the processing of seasonal beetroot products destined for the Australian market.

With attractive base hourly rates of $45.75 (incl. of 25% casual loading), the Production Operator will work a range of shifts per the below roster;
Day shift: 0700 - 1500hrs
Afternoon shift: 1500 - 2300hrs
Night shift: 2300 - 0700hrs

**What You Will Do**:

- Inspection of incoming raw material
- Manual handling of ingredients used in the production process
- Safe operations of fixed plant processing & packaging equipment
- Accurate completion of daily shift logs / associated paperwork
- Loading packaging materials into production lines
- Provide assistance and support to other team members as required
- Participate in Continuous Improvement processes
- Contribute to site safety & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as standard

- Possess a 100% commitment to safety in the workplace
- Hold a strong work ethic with a passion for working as part of a successful team.
- Demonstrated experience within a food manufacturing facility (advantageous)
- Be available for commencement in April 2025
- Possess an eye for detail with problem solving ability
- Ability to work over a 5-day Mon-Fri roster inclusive of day / afternoon / night shifts with weekend OT where required
- A high level of both written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate user of PC systems (for learning / training / inductions etc.)
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical (incl. urine based drug & alcohol screening)
