**About the Role**

Looking to step up your career in workplace health and safety? We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced WHS Officer to take the next step as a WHS Advisor.

As a WHS Advisor, you’ll report directly to the Senior WHS Advisor and have the support of a dedicated WHS Officer reporting to you. You’ll play a critical role in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our workplace health and safety program, ensuring that we provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. As part of a larger HR team you will be well supported and join a business that is eager to continue take safety to the next level.

Andrews Meat Industries is a leading food service meat supplier comprising three key divisions: foodservice, value added (cooked) and export. Across these divisions, the company supplies to all areas of the hospitality industry, including restaurants, cafes, hotels, clubs, and resort groups, as well as servicing a number of other market segments. Led by the Andrews Family since 1960 and a partial subsidiary of JBS, we have both the feeling of a family owned business with the advantages of a large corporation.

**The role’s responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Conduct regular WHS inspections and daily WHS walk throughs
- Conduct regular toolbox talks
- Provide advice and support to management on WHS related issues and promote positive behaviours
- Ensure all staff are trained in emergency procedures, SOPs and any other mandatory training or licences
- Undertake risk assessments and updates of SOPs
- Conduct staff inductions
- Assist with the management of Workers Compensation Claims

**About you**
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a WHS role
- Qualification in WHS (Cert IV or Diploma)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven computer literacy in excel, word and outlook
- Skilled in training and coaching staff
- Ability to prioritise and multi-skill
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements
