We are looking for someone with experience and who is able to run the kitchen.
The roles for the vacant position include but are not limited to:
- Open the bakery early in the morning
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use. Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
- Weighing flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
- Baking different cake
- Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
- Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including cookies and sweet roll
- Track food supplies and place orders
- Measure and mix raw ingredients, bake and decorate items, and ensure that all raw and finished goods adhere to quality and food safety standards
- Greeting customers, answering questions, marking recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service
**Qualifications and skills required for the role**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum **two (2) years’** experience as a Baker
- Be able to decorate cakes using creative techniques
- Familiar with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Have a high attention to detail
- Passion for baking
- The successful applicant would ideally be available 5 days per week, and be flexible to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
