Purpose of the role:
Reporting into the CFO - APAC. The role will assist with the month end reporting process and will work closely with our Shared Services team and other Business Unit Controllers. Working with key stakeholders, the role is required to suggest developments and improvements to the finance function and ensure compliance of our accounting requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to the following:

- Assist in the preparation of the year-end statutory accounts and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packs for local management and a foreign head office.
- Facilitating & coordinating the preparation of annual budgets, specific financial plans, a range of budgets & financial projections.
- Preparing business performance & accounting reports.
- Monitoring accounts to ensure compliance with company accounting standards.
- Analysing accounts & investigating variances from budget expenditure.
- Consolidating accounts in respect of one or more operating sites or subsidiaries.
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger including review of complex reconciliations.
- Work with the Shares Services team.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and the Business Units.
- Ensuring compliance obligations are met for foreign listed company.
- Assist in the external audit process.
- Assisting with budgeting and quarterly estimates.
- Deliver continuous process improvements to month end reporting processes.
- Any other duties as reasonably directed by your Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Bachelor of Business/Accounting with 7-10 years’ practical experience in relevant roles and discipline.
- Be CA or CPA qualified.
- Excellent commercial and financial understanding.
- Project management accounting experience.
- Ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure, while remaining positive.
- Cost and margin conscious.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Takes Initiative and is proactive.
- Advanced excel skills and the ability to work with complex excel models.
- Experience working with external audit and have demonstrated a strong compliance focus.
- Ability to work in a team or individually on multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Willingness to learn and undergo job specific training (ex. software/project/sampling).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to work with customers, contractors and other personnel on a daily basis.
- Experienced utilizing ERP database systems.
- Good organization skills that delivers effective planning and housekeeping standards.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
