We are currently recruiting on behalf of a major public health service in Tasmania that is seeking a dedicated Consultant Geriatrician to join their expanding aged care team. This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior clinical role in a well-supported, multidisciplinary environment while enjoying the natural beauty and lifestyle of Tasmania’s stunning southern region.
**About the Role**:

- Join a comprehensive aged care department within a tertiary referral hospital
- Provide specialist inpatient and outpatient services, including general geriatrics, cognitive assessment, rehabilitation, and outreach
- Engage in teaching and supervision of junior doctors and medical students
- Collaborate closely with allied health and community partners to deliver integrated, patient-centred care
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives

**Key Requirements**:

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) - Geriatric Medicine
- Current or eligible Specialist Registration with AHPRA
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A commitment to providing holistic, evidence-based care for older adults
- Previous experience in a public hospital or teaching environment is advantageous
