In this role, you be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders and employing your strong strategy development, communication, engagement and negotiation skills to onboard Queensland Road Managers such as local governments, the Queensland Police Service and port authorities into the new road access regime.

About the Team and the Role
Balancing access for Class 1 heavy vehicles with the need to manage road assets effectively, is a role TMR takes seriously. Queensland's road network is critical to the ongoing growth and prosperity of our state.
TMR have established a program to optimise safe and sustainable access to TMR's road network for all road users, by managing risks posed to our road and bridge assets by Class 1 heavy vehicles. The dedicated program team is responsible for leading and managing the development and implementation of a new Class 1 vehicle access regime, to deliver government priorities along with excellence in client service delivery.
As the Director Road Manager Engagement, you will join this Revised Class 1 Heavy Vehicle Access Regime team and work closely with the Program Manager to lead and manager the inclusion of Queensland Road Managers such as local governments, the Queensland Police Service and port authorities into the new road access regime.
With a strong heavy vehicle policy background, you will provide high level, timely, strategic advice for the development and delivery of critical policies, strategies and procedures relating to the new access regime within Queensland.
You will have strong stakeholder management skills, with integrity and a growth mindset. You'll be future focused, resilient, visionary and a change agent, who is agile, with exceptional communication skills.
You will also embrace change and lead with focus and optimism in an environment of complexity with various internal and external stakeholders.
This is a temporary position for 12 months with immediate start, and with the possibility of extension.
