This is a multi-skilled junior primary/middle primary teaching position. The role offers the benefit of small class sizes, averaging around 18 students per class.
The position requires working collaboratively with other members of the primary and whole school teams. Literacy, numeracy, and fostering effective learners are key curriculum priorities, with a focus on developing and implementing high-impact learning strategies outlined in the site improvement/learning plan to support students' diverse needs and backgrounds. The role also involves facilitating proactive, positive behaviour initiatives and fostering students' wellbeing through the school's WeMatter initiative, which emphasizes the GEM practices (Gratitude, Empathy, and Mindfulness) from The Resilience Project. A commitment to differentiated learning for each student through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) is essential, along with actively engaging parents and the wider community.
