**Job Description**:
Reporting into DC Supervisor and/or the DC Team Leader, the DC Team Member is responsible for daily DC operations including picking, unloading, loading and counting products with a continual focus on Safety, Service, Cost and Team.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Ensure that all incidents/injuries, near misses, and hazards are reported in a timely manner to the DC Manager.
- Handle products in line with safety and handling induction and training.
- Adhere to WH&S policies and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring that all people on-site at the DC follow all relevant Safe Working Practices (SWPs) in accordance with the National Safety Plan.
- Ensure the right training and processes are in place to minimise incidents/injuries.
- Process stock received into the warehouse as per company procedures
- Transfer stock to designated storage areas as per company procedures
- Pick stock to picking lanes as per company procedure
- Conduct cycle counts
- Perform any other suitable duties as requested by Supervisors or Managers in other areas of the business including but not limited to cleaning, receiving, returns, dispatch and administration
- Work as part of a dynamic Team to build better and safer procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Experience working with appliances, furniture, or large bulky items preferred but not essential
- Strong safety focused including safe manual handling knowledge and experience
- High attention to detail
- Good multitasking skills and experience
- Excellent team player
- Good communication skills
- A proactive, can do approach
- LF & LO Licence preffered

**KPI’s applicable for the role**
- All incidents/injuries, near misses, and hazards are to be reported asap, and no later than 24hrs after occurrence or identification.
- All activities are to be performed as per the SOP, training document, and/or induction.
- Ensure your conduct aligns with all WH&S policies and procedures.
- Anyone identified to not be following all relevant Safe Working Practices (SWPs) in accordance with the National Safety Plan are to be approached and respectfully asked to comply as required. If they refuse, notify the DC Manager immediately.
- Always make sure team members are licensed, have the relevant training, and are signed off before being assigned tasks or activities.
- Process items delivered into the warehouse in an accurate and timely manner using MHE, computer and RF units
- Process all stock items away in an accurate and timely manner using MHE and RF units
- Accurately pick stock into staging areas in a timely manner using MHE and RF units
- Conduct cycle counts in line with targets
- Perform all duties in an accurate and timely manner.
- Improve processes and raise ideas in toolbox talks
- Be aware of how your team affects other business units, external businesses and customers. Adhere to Code of Conduct policies and procedures.
- Ensure that there is a high level of flexibility, cooperation and communication between team members.
- Challenge existing processes within the DC, suggesting and implementing changes when needed. Work with the DC Manager to document new processes to ensure they are maintained.
- Ensure good housekeeping including cleaning floors, racking, waste area, junkers, pallets etc.
