**Who are we looking for?**

We are seeking a Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Music to join School of Creative Practice, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.

The successful applicant will play a central role in designing and delivering programs, with research interests in contemporary popular music practice that span popular music musicianship, performance, music technology and music education. The successful applicant will demonstrate strength through a teaching profile with evidence of learning design, unit coordination, positive student feedback, a growing research profile, experience working and connecting with both primary and secondary schools, and skills and industry experience in performance, production, composition and arranging.

**What you need to succeed**
- Completion (or near completion) of a doctoral qualification.
- Demonstrated experience as a practising musician and music educator, with a strong background in contemporary musicianship, composition, music performance, and music production.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in using contemporary and emerging digital approaches, methods, and tools to develop innovative approaches to learning, curriculum development, research and industry practice.
- Evidence of an emerging teaching profile including innovative curriculum design and delivery with demonstrated positive student feedback, effective unit-level administration, with potential for leading teaching teams.
- An emerging record of engaged and impactful research evidenced for instance by publications in relevant high-quality journals; quality non-traditional research outputs, success in winning competitive research funding from industry or key national and international funding bodies; inclusion on research teams engaged in high impact research projects with government, industry, or community partners.
- Evidence of active external engagement including membership or chairing committees, and/ or formalised engagement with industry and partners.
