National Disability and Mental Health Services (**NDMHS**) is looking for experienced _**Disability Support Workers **_with good communication skills_._

The company provides a wide range of services to individuals with a disability and their families. We provide services across Sydney and have many positions available.

**Opportunities available in Miranda, Sutherland Shire, Allawah.**

Applicants must be authorized to work in Australia, must have Valid Driving License (Australian or International) and reliable car.

We are looking to recruit someone who is motivated to provide a range of flexible supports to people with a disability. We are seeking someone who is experienced and passionate and have a positive attitude to support individuals in leading a more independent and fulfilled life.

**Role specific needs.**
- **It's a minor client.**_
- **Accompanying to appointments, outings, social activities etc,**
**Domestic tasks (cleaning, cooking, laundry, shopping),**
**Personal hygiene (showering, dressing, toileting etc),**
**Day-to-day implementation of a therapy plan,**
**Companionship and assistance with general daily routines (other than domestic and personal hygiene), Transport, Skills support**_

You will have the ability to assist people with:

To assist client to do shopping and attending appointments.

**Core objectives include**:

- Provide support to patients with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
- Understand and provide appropriate care to patients with low needs to patients with high needs

who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours.
- Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment
- Work under general guidance from the person seeking support, and their family, within clearly

defined guidelines.
- Providing personal care to people with disabilities

**Requirements**:

- Current CPR & First Aid (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- Working With Children Check (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- NDIS Worker Check (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- Insured car & valid driving license.
- Manual Handling certificate (OR willing to obtain after joining)

**Pay rate $32.75-$74.22 per hour.**
