**About Us**:Like many modern day success stories, Choices Flooring can be traced back to humble beginnings. In 1959 a small group of independent Victorian furniture retailers met to discuss the possibility of forming an association to maximise the effectiveness of their businesses in the face of increased competition from large, franchised organisations. As a result of this initial meeting, Newfurn Floor Coverings Ltd was formed.

Over 30 years later, in 1993, they launched the Carpet Choice brand with 17 stores in Victoria. Since then, after a further brand update, Choices Flooring has rapidly grown to include more than 140 stores across Australia and New Zealand.

Since those early days, Choices Flooring has arguably become Australia’s most progressive retail floor coverings group and a major force in the Australian retail sector. More recently, Choices Flooring launched into the New Zealand market and currently has 8 stores in the region.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Calculating floor space measurements and reviewing blueprints to assess the quantity of materials needed for each project.
- Preparing and leveling surfaces, removing old coverings, and handling baseboard trims prior to installation.
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting underlay materials for all types of flooring installations.
- Installing a variety of floor coverings, including carpets, linoleum, parquetry, cork tiles, and other resilient materials, ensuring patterns match and edges are neatly finished around fixtures.
- Securing floor coverings in place, adding trims and edgings in areas like doorways to ensure smooth transitions.
- May also be required to install coverings on walls, ceilings, and benches in addition to floor areas.
- Committed to workplace health and safety, including adherence to WHS regulations, participation in safety training, and promotion of a safe environment.

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in both carpet and parquetry installation.
- Certificate IV in Floor Finishing, or other related qualifications.
- Expertise in both carpet fitting and parquetry pattern installation.
- Knowledge of flooring materials, techniques, and tools used in carpet and parquetry work.
- Ability to work independently and follow project plans with precision.
- Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Maintain current driver’s license.
