Afoods Pty Ltd T/A Amin’s Butcher and Grill, based in West End, Queensland 4101, is one of our THREE locations specialising in premium halal, gourmet meats and deli products. We offer specialty sausages, marinated cuts, roasts, and expert in-store butcher services. Our restaurant features a “Choose-Your-Own-Meat” experience with signature dishes including Mixed Grills, Burgers, Ribs, and Steaks, all delivered with authentic quality and outstanding service.

**About the Role**

We are seeking experienced Butcher to join our growing team. This full-time role requires skilled professionals who are passionate about traditional and modern meat preparation techniques while delivering excellent service in a fast-paced retail and hospitality environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat, cutting, mincing, and shaping portions to meet customer orders or display requirements.
- Produce specialized meat products, including marinated, seasoned, crumbed, and cured cuts, tailored to recipes and customer preferences.
- Safely and efficiently operate butchery equipment such as grinders, mixers, sausage fillers, smoking chambers, and cooking kettles.
- Inspect meat to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering advice and recommendations on meat selection and preparation methods.
- Package, label, and display meat products in an appealing and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work environment, adhering to workplace health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
- Assist in menu planning, scheduling, and estimating food production costs to support efficient operations.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- AQF Certificate III or IV in Meat Processing or equivalent trade qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience working as a butcher in a retail or commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of meat processing, smallgoods, and traditional butchery techniques.
- Reliable, organised, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
- Dedication to delivering professional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
