**About the Clinical Education Unit**
- The Clinical Education Unit (CEU) is fundamental to achieving this vision, incorporating a philosophy of interprofessional learning as the foundation for the provision of high-quality care.
- The CEU is responsible for clinical education governance utilizing a Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment (BPCLE) framework. The CEU has two pillars of education: Allied Health and Nursing. Each pillar has a leader who is responsible for day-to-day education as well as ensuring the AH & nursing workforce have the skills and capability to deliver outstanding care.
**About the role**
- The Clinical Educator, Gd 4 provides expert input into the design and delivery of effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices of Allied Health professionals, assistants and students at Austin Health.
- The role will focus on the promotion of innovative and responsive interprofessional education which builds clinician capability and supports contemporary and emerging clinical and professional practice.
- The Grade 4 Clinical Educator role will design, lead and deliver contemporary clinical education programs, which align with the Allied Health Clinical Education vision to build clinician capacity in clinical and professional practice.
**About you**
- To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- AHPRA registration or evidence of eligibility for membership of relevant professional association.
- Allied Health qualification (at least 10 years’ experience within professional discipline),
- Post graduate qualifications in education, workplace training, or other relevant field or working towards
- Experience and expertise in the provision of clinical education, supervision, mentoring to staff and students
- Demonstrated competence in a leadership role and the ability to unite teams to achieve common objectives
- Demonstrated ability to promote the professional competence of other staff
- Advanced communication skills, including interpersonal, liaison and negotiating skills with the ability to network effectively in the design and delivery of clinical training initiatives
- Demonstrated problem solving ability with capacity to identify clinical education needs and trends and develop innovative programs and approaches
- Demonstrated analytical, project management and report writing skills
- High level computer literacy
- Understanding of clinical placements within the Victorian context.
