**Mental Health Allied Health Graduate Program**:
Austin Mental Health is building the Occupational therapy workforce and we are actively recruiting graduate Occupational Therapists. There are currently a number of exciting full time, 2 year, fixed term contract positions within the Graduate Allied Health Mental Health program.

**The Allied Health Graduate Program will offer the following**:

- Two12-month rotations across two teams within the Mental Health Division.
- Comprehensive induction & orientation to teams, services, and the clinical work
- Protected opportunities to learn and implement evidence-based practice
- Work within multidisciplinary teams which include Lived Experience
- Opportunity to work in a range of mental health settings and services
- Equitable workload allocation to allow for graded development of skills and competencies.
- Development of a comprehensive learning plan
- A range of support and supervision models including peer support, discipline specific supervision and a buddy and wellbeing program
- Clinical educator support, regular and targeted professional development opportunities and protected learning time.

**The Mental Health Division** **(MHD)** comprises four Directorates, including Child and Youth, Adult Mental Health, Triage and Planning, and Specialty Services (PTRS and Brain Disorders). This ensures Austin Health is an employee of choice for graduates embarking on a new career.

**Occupational Therapy at Austin**:
Within the Mental Health Division (MHD) at Austin Health Occupational Therapists are supported to grow and develop in several ways including:

- A dedicated Discipline Senior for Occupational Therapy who oversees Occupational therapy in the MHD at Austin Health,
- Opportunities to connect with Occupational therapy peers across the MHD through ongoing division wide meetings,
- A team of Occupational Therapists with a wealth of knowledge and experience,
- Clinical opportunities to engage in evidence-based practice,
- The opportunity to conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions.
- Discipline Specific Supervision,
- Professional development opportunities - both in house as well as through The Centre for Mental Health Learning,
- Time release to attend professional development and conference opportunities,
- Being part of multi-disciplinary team structures.
