My client has a team of more than 1,800 employees, operates two distribution centres and boasts over 200 Auto Parts stores throughout Australia. Their primary focus is on catering to the needs of automotive aftermarket trade customers. They take pride in being an Australian leading supplier of automotive aftermarket parts, accessories, and workshop equipment. An opportunity awaits a customer focused, sales driven and enthusiastic **Assistant Store Manager (2IC) **to join their team at their Malvern store.
- Permanent Role
- $60 - $70K (Depending on experience and overtime worked) + Super + Bonus + Company Vehicle + Overtime
- Monday - Friday 8am
- 5pm & Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm
- 5 day working week with regular weekend work.

**Key Responsibilities, but not limited to**:
The 2IC/Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial leadership role in their store network. They provide operational support to Store Managers and mentor/train other employees. This position is a development opportunity for future store managers. The 2IC may temporarily take over as Store Manager and guide the store to meet performance targets. Their main goal is to support the Store Manager in implementing the store's business plan. They coach employees, work on projects to improve sales and performance, and provide feedback on employee performance and behaviour. The 2IC informs the Store Manager of any issues that require corrective action. As well as:

- Lead by example in the commitment to companies’ customer service excellence in the interaction with customers at all levels both internally & externally.
- Understand levels of customer satisfaction and target actions to meet/exceed our customers & company expectations.
- Assist to plan and participate in sales focussed events as required by the Store Manager.
- Actively helps to develop growth sales plans for the store.
- Undertakes those financial & admin responsibilities that are assigned by the Store Manager and in accordance with experience and development.
- Monitors implementation and adherence to Company policies and procedures

**OH&S**
- Ensure your safety and the safety of those around you by complying with all safe work practices, policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Promote and maintain safe working practices that contribute to an accident and injury free working environment. Take a leadership role regarding all thing’s safety.
- Remain vigilant in identifying unsafe or environmentally unsound practices and taking action to rectify.
- Take responsibility for personal safety and safety of others by following safe work practices and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and knowledge of procedures and safety education is current.
- Report to work fit for duty, and not affected by alcohol, drugs, medication or other harmful substances.
- Participate in safety programs and improvements & report injuries, safety incidents and hazards immediately.
- Report to work as soon as possible after injury, to appropriate duties and always follow company policies and procedures.

**Skills & Experience**
- 2+ years direct sales experience
- Good understanding of sales and ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to translate complicated technical language to a non-technical consumer.
- Strong PC literacy, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong influencing and persuasion skills & Solid negotiation skills
- Proven ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) at all levels of an organisation (internally & externally)
- Propensity for action - sense of urgency - self starter
- Demonstrate the ability to develop, build and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally and at all levels with the ability to understand and interpret needs.
- Highly respectful of confidentiality
- Agile and able to multi-task
- Driven, motivated and has ambitions to become a store manager.
- Permanent Role
- $75K-$80K + Super + Bonus (Depending on experience)
- Monday - Friday 8am
- 6pm & Saturday & Sunday 8:30am-5:30pm
- 5 day working week with regular weekend work.

**Key Responsibilities**
- This role will be responsible for driving the sales
- Be a team leader and mentor and motivate the sales team
- Motivating the sales team in achieving monthly and annual volume and profit targets.
- Coach and mentor team members toward best business practices
- Meet KPI's
- Set daily/weekly takes for staff.
- Maintaining the store to a high level.
- Oversee systems and processes to ensure customer service standards are met at all times
- Training staff.
- Maintaining a fun and enjoyable work environment.
- Resolve customer problems.
- Able to work under pressure and manage conflict.
