**About the Role**:
We’re seeking two passionate and experienced Policy Officers to join our Engagement and Wellbeing team. In this vital role, you’ll help shape the future of mental health policy for children and young people by leading the development of evidence-based strategies and initiatives that improve wellbeing outcomes across South Australian schools and preschools.

As a Policy Officer, you will:

- Provide leadership, policy expertise and advice on matters related to mental health and wellbeing.
- Develop, review and implement policies, tools and resources to support early intervention and systemic change.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, schools, interagency partners and service providers.
- Work in a dynamic project team, reporting to the Senior Policy Officer, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and contribute to strategic priorities within the directorate.

**Desirable Qualifications**:
An appropriate tertiary qualification in one or more of the following fields: education, psychology, social work, law or other relevant behavioural/social science or equivalent relevant experience

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO7 $108,109 - $116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
