We are looking for a reliable and dedicated person to join a small business located in Tingalpa.

As an embroidery machine operator, you will be an integral part of our team. Your responsibilities will include setting up embroidery machines, selecting pertinent tools and materials, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring that all projects are completed to our clients' specifications.

The hours are 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday. No weekend work involved, and we can be flexible. This job would suit a parent returning to work. You will be on your feet, so an element of fitness is required.

The successful applicant will have a good eye for detail, the ability to keep track of multiple work orders and a willingness to learn.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Key responsibilities
- Operation of Embroidery Machines - Onsite training available.
- Ability to follow instructions and to make recommendations when necessary.
- Selecting the thread, fabric, hoops, and designs appropriate to each project.
- Receiving goods.
- Lifting and moving stock.
- Embroidery and Sewing.
- Packing and despatch of garments.
- Keeping track of work orders and updating records (including the Production workbook)
- Basic maintenance of machines - Onsite training available.
- Maintaining the thread stock levels.

Personal requirements
- Education to Year 12 or life experience.
- Completion of a course in design or similar would be advantageous.
- Attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of the business.
- Computer skills and willingness to learn embroidery software.
- Sewing experience is an advantage - Onsite training is available.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Multi-tasking skills required to be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to read and understand instructional manuals.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
