Forklift Driver/storeperson

The Brisbane Markets® is Queensland's most important marketing and distribution hub for the supply of fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers—annually trading in excess of 700 million kilos of produce, valued at more than $2 billion to secondary wholesalers, provedores, food processors, retailers and independent supermarkets.
- Permanent role 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (possible weekend work based on operational demand)
- Commencing between 12am-2am each day
This is a fast-paced work environment and an **active role** that will require **'hands-on' labouring activities**; therefore, you need to be **fit and healthy** and have a **valid forklift licence**.
The duties of this role generally include:
- Providing efficient and effective stock dispatch service to the wholesale team and customers.
- Providing picking, packing, loading, unloading and storage support to the wholesale and warehouse teams.
- Working within a team and communicating with management/staff regarding orders and stock requirements.
- Ensuring food safety and quality procedures are followed.
- Maintaining a safe work environment.
You will need to be able to **work with the team** and get the job done. If you have a mature and responsible work ethic, hands-on storeperson experience, a forklift licence and your own transport, this is an opportunity to join the Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Industry and enjoy an exciting and vibrant work environment.
**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
