IT Deployment Manager

**Overview**
In this role you will provide a single point of management for all IT change deployment to production systems within the Link Group. You will liaise with the Change Manager, Release Manager, Project Managers, Vendor Account managers and technical staff for a successful implementation and closure. You will also provide input into the Change Management process and represent the IT Service Delivery team in the Change Authorisation Board meetings and help in its coordination as and when required.
This role ensures the management and success of the deployment process is through clear communication, pro-active Stakeholder engagement, robust planning, milestone tracking and precise execution of the plan.
**Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities**
- Successful deployment and implementation of Link Group Application releases, Technical changes, System configuration changes and Projects.
- Work with Change management and Release management to understand business priorities and risks to help plan the implementation or deployment with mínimal impact to business.
- Work with team managers and external vendors to coordinate suitable resource availability for successful implementation.
- Create and maintain Deployment and Technical implementation run sheets to meet project objectives.
- Monitor deployment and implementation schedule and follow-up action items and work delivery after implementation to determine its success.
- Effectively manage risks and issues should they arise by creating and maintaining a risk and issue registers.
- Ensure change control mechanisms are put in place to manage seamless integration post deployment.
- Execute implementation run sheets.
- Escalate issues and imminent risks to management.
- Implement quality assurance processes that drive the continuous improvement of quality.
- Help with the coordination of Change Authorisation Board Meetings as and when required.
- Conduct and document post release deployment and implementation review.
- Produce regular and accurate reports for management.
- Be available after-hours during deployment and change implementation.
**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Strong experience in Deployment Management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to organise and coordinate both internal and external technical staff.
- Ability to implement multiple projects across diverse platforms.
- Strong problem solving, risk and issues management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise and plan.
- Ability to drive outcomes through others and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to improve procedures and processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- Strong computer literacy and technical inclination.
- Background in financial services and securities industry such as Registry, Broking, Exchange, Superannuation or Trading
- Experience in Release Management, IT Change Management and Project management
