The Career Education and Employment department sits within the Digital Transformation & Quality Learning (DTQL) unit and has responsibility for supporting HE and TAFE students to gain career readiness skills and relevant work experience that enables employment success. The broader DTQL unit is responsible for developing strategic directions in digital learning, cross sector learning design, the use of educational technologies and leads the direction of Wyndham and Brimbank Tech Schools.

**About the Role**:
Are you ready to lead data-driven initiatives that make a real difference in students’ career outcomes? As the Career Engagement and Insights Lead, you’ll design and deliver targeted programs that connect students with career services from day one. Working within a dynamic, student-focused team, you’ll translate insights into practical strategies that boost engagement, improve graduate outcomes, and strengthen partnerships across the university. **This is a full-time fixed-term (2-year contract period) position at a HEP8 $110,100 - $123,987 per annum plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 hours per week. This position is located at our Footscray Park campus.**

**Key Duties**

An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:

- Design and lead data-informed initiatives that strengthen student career readiness and graduate outcomes
- Analyse student lifecycle data to identify needs, trends, and opportunities for targeted support
- Collaborate with Colleges and stakeholders to improve graduate outcome reporting and action planning
- Develop digital content and strategies that drive engagement with Careers Education and Employment services
- Translate insights into practical approaches that increase student participation in career activities
- Support continuous improvement through service evaluation and standardised reporting

**About You**:
You’re a strategic thinker who’s passionate about improving student outcomes and knows how to turn insights into action. You bring experience working with large datasets and digital platforms, ideally within higher education or a similar complex environment. You understand the student journey, can spot patterns in data, and enjoy designing services that truly meet people’s needs.

You’ll be a great fit if you’re collaborative, curious, and confident navigating both big-picture planning and day-to-day delivery. You enjoy building relationships across teams, communicating clearly, and creating engaging, inclusive career initiatives that make a difference.

This role will suit someone who’s energised by student impact, excited by cross-team collaboration, and comfortable leading projects that combine digital tools, data, and service design.
