**Position Information**:
Pymble Public School currently has an enrolment of 600 students. Approximately 60% of our students are from a non-English speaking background and represent a wide variety of cultural groups. The school is set in a quiet, leafy residential location on Sydney's North Shore. The school culture is that of connectedness, inclusion and belonging with students, staff and parents working together to promote school excellence. Pymble Public School has a strong school community, with parents valuing education and are very supportive of the school and its programs.
The school has a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy, the performing arts, technology, and sport. It places a high value on the importance of teacher quality. The school organisation promotes teamwork and collaborative decision making. The school provides opportunities for students to participate in a large variety of sporting and performing arts pursuits in addition to our academic programs. Extra curricular activities are available in areas such as chess, debating, public speaking, drama, dance, choir and band. The school also has a pool on site.
The school is actively pursuing innovative, engaging and creative pedagogy and learning environments in order to prepare students for the challenges of their global context.
**Selection Criteria**:
1. Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with proven ability to implement quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs driven by evidence-based practice and informed by data.
2.Demonstrated strong classroom management skills and wellbeing practices with a capacity to cater for a diverse range of students, including those with complex needs.
3.Evidence of highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with proven capacity to work collaboratively in teams and with the whole school community.
4.Demonstrated willingness and capacity to co-ordinate and implement whole school programs and extra-curricular activities to strengthen school culture and promote the engagement of all students.
5. Evidence of effective teaching practices within collaborative, flexible, future-focused learning environments that promotes engagement and improved learning outcomes for all students.
