We are seeking a registered electrical engineer to join the Boeing Defence Australia Engineering team in the role of Electrical Safety Officer.
This is a senior role in Boeing Defence Australia with responsibility for ensuring compliance of all electrical work and electrical safety requirements across Australia. As a member of the Office of the Chief Engineer, this challenging and rewarding role will see you encounter a range of electrical installations and electrical equipment types across several Australian States and Territories, on both Defence and non-Defence sites. Internal applicants are encouraged to apply. This role can be based in Brisbane, Adelaide or Williamtown.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and periodically review electrical policies, procedures and processes;
- Ensure electrical safety audits are performed and electrical safety requirements are being met;
- Provide advice and support to electrical design, installations, operations and maintenance;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations and standards;
- Maintaining electrical registers (including licences, registration and equipment);
Experience/ Qualifications
- Professional registration as an Electrical Engineer
- Extensive knowledge of Australian state and territory Electrical and Occupational Health & Safety legislation and regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Perform regular project / site visits
