**Job Number**: 498890 **Division**: Community & Environment **Employment Status**: Permanent **Categories**: Customer Service **The details**: - Permanent Full Time - $67,707 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 8, Schedule 4 of the MBRC EBA4 Certified Agreement - 9 day fortnight - 76 hour fortnight - Location: Caboolture & will work across the region **About our opportunity** We are looking for a Local Laws Ranger to join our Customer Response team Local Law Ranger’s provide customer focused engagement, and investigate and conduct enforcement of Council’s Local Laws, policies and relevant State legislation. This includes, but is not limited to: - performing compliance controls within the region’s streets, parks and public areas - impounding vehicles, animals and illegal devices and goods - investigating and responding to complaints - delivering quality advice, direction, and solutions to the community - Issuing Penalty Infringement Notices and conducting enforcement action. Other responsibilities include issuing correspondence, compliance notices, providing reports and briefs to management and council and provide evidence in a court of law regarding investigations as required. **Please note**: The Local Laws Ranger positions require successful applicants to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours and participate in council's "After Hours On-Call and Programmed Overtime Roster" service. This will include working every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday). **About you** As an effective communicator, you will have strong interpersonal and communications skills, enabling you to educate and converse with a range of internal and external stakeholders to effectively represent the Council. You will also enjoy working as part of a team and be comfortable working remotely across our vast region You will have experience in managing a busy workload and actioning a range of administration tasks using online tools, technology and software.
