**Company description**

IINKA, which opened in March 2021, is a sleek, modern bar + restaurant in Canberra offering a unique Peruvian Japanese cuisine and dining experience. The focus is on Nikkei-style food - a mash-up cuisine that emerged from Peru’s sizeable Japanese population (Peru has South America’s second-largest population of Japanese people).

It’s easy to see how Nikkei cuisine happened - dishes such as ceviche, Peru’s national dish, seem tailor-made for Japan’s sashimi tradition. Likewise, both cultures revere cooking over flames - whether it’s a robata, hibachi or parilla grill at play. A cuisine that combines Japanese techniques and dishes with South American ingredients and flavours is a no-brainer.

But it’s still a relatively new phenomenon in Australia: you’re more likely to see the odd Nikkei dish at a regular Japanese restaurant than you are to see full-blown diners dedicated to the cuisine.

INKA which opens opening 7 days a week with 13 service is looking for motivated and energetic floor team members, who are driven by a passion for hospitality and the rush of a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong focus on the guest dining experience and all aspects of the front of house operations.

**Job description**

We are now taking expressions of interest for:

- **Section Wait Staff (Full time & Part-time)**
- **Bartender / Cocktail Waitress (Full time & Part-time)**
- **Host (Part-time)**

The guest's experience and enjoyment is what drives the INKA team. We want to fill our team with engaging, confident, friendly and awesome people who can bring this enjoyment to our customers.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Proactive attitude and team skills
- Communication, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- A genuinely charismatic, energetic personality
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high volume restaurant essential
- Your positive and respectful style will set the benchmark for a dynamic team
- You will have a personal desire to succeed and a genuine desire to be the best
- Flexible availability across a 7 day a week operation
- Knowledge of Japanese/Peruvian cuisine, a bonus but not essential
- Must have a current ACT RSA Certificate and full Australian working rights
