**Life Actuarial Pricing Analyst**

**Role Purpose**:
The team (and role) is responsible for setting market pricing and transacting deals in the life reinsurance space. The role will provide involvement in the end-to-end process.

This is an opportunity to work in a wide range of products and across international markets.

Please note: The team are open to seeing both Actuarial Analyst or Pricing Analyst skillsets.

The role is based in the Sydney head office. There will be opportunities for client interactions as part of a close-knit team.

Experience gained within an analytical or data focused capacity would be viewed favourably.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Technical analysis and review of industry and historical experience in setting of pricing assumptions.
- Developing knowledge and understanding of participating markets and jurisdictions.
- Stress testing analysis of assumptions and capital calculations.
- Documentation, discussion and presentation of technical analysis results.
- Developing understanding, maintaining and enhancement of pricing models.
- Involvement in the client communication and approval processes.

**Knowledge & Skills required**:

- Strong analytical skills. The ability to solve technical problems and identify key aspects based on available information.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, plan and manage own tasks and performance.
- Comfortable in presenting ideas and effectively communicating in both written and verbal forms to other individuals and to groups.
- Technical experience in analysing longevity, mortality and morbidity data, and in developing assumptions
- Programming familiarity and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in an actuarial, maths, statistics or finance field.
