This is a rare opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast paced team which will see you working across two main actuarial functions being reserving and pricing. You will have the opportunity to be involved in decision making and really make an impact to the business.

As the Pricing Actuary, you will support the Pricing Manager to provide expert actuarial advice across the nib Travel division. This includes insurance pricing, forecasting, liability valuation and ad hoc analysis which are all integral parts of nib Travel's financial management.

Duties will include:

- Lead pricing reviews for nib Travel brands
- Develop and maintain technical pricing and demand models
- Monitor competitive positioning across brands and markets
- Innovate with the development of market-leading predictive analytics and machine learning to support better customer and business outcomes across product design and pricing
- Support provision of financial forecasts and budgets for nib Travel

**Let's talk about you**

Ideally, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Actuarial studies and be nearly qualified or qualified with the Fellowship qualification of the IAA or equivalent actuarial body.

Furthermore, we're looking for:

- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of actuarial concepts
- Experience with statistical modelling (GLMs/GBMs) and programming tools such as R, Python, SQL or other relevant analytical tools
- Experience delegating and mentoring junior team members
- Passion for enabling timely decision making based on data driven insights
- Experience with rating engines such as Earnix is highly desirable
