**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Front Desk Operations**:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and efficiently.
- Schedule appointments, verify patient information, and update records as necessary
**Patient Registration**:
- Collect and accurately enter patient demographic information.
- Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality guidelines and maintain the confidentiality of medical records.
**Appointment Scheduling**:
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits.
- Manage the appointment calendar and notify medical staff of any schedule changes or urgent appointments.
**Medicare and Tyro Transactions**:
- Process Medicare claims efficiently.
- Utilise Tyro for seamless and secure payment transactions.
**Medical Records Management**:
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Handle requests for medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist medical staff in organising and managing patient files.
**Communication and Team Collaboration**:
- Patients and medical staff liaise to relay messages, information, and instructions.
- Collaborate with other administrative and clinical staff to ensure smooth operations within the facility.
- Handle inquiries, provide information, and professionally resolve issues.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a GP clinic or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficient in using Best Practice software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in fast-paced environments.

Job Type**:Full-time**
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Shifts vary from 8am - 4:30pm and 10am - 6:30pm.
- No weekends
Work Location: Maiden Gully - In Person.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
