Our Retail Manager will steer our team to success, driving bakery sales and creating an unforgettable shopping/dining experience across the German Bakehouse Group. Our Retail Manager plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our bakery/café.

Tasks include but not limited to:

- Determining products, stock levels and service standards
- Managing the efficient supply of products &packaging for our bakery/café whilst liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing
- Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices
- Promoting and advertising the bakery’s goods and services including seasonal events/products such as Christmas & Oktoberfest
- Selling goods and services to customers across our retail bakery/cafe
- Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- Undertaking budgeting for our retail bakery/café including implementing and ensuring sales targets are met
- Controlling selection, training and supervision of staff as well as rostering for our bakery/cafe
- Ensuring compliance of OHS and safety regulations in our retail bakery/cafe
- Organise and control daily operations of our bakery/cafe

What experience you will bring:

- Experience in leading a team within a high-volume retail or hospitality environment
- Experience in delivering excellent customer experience
- Experience in managing financials, i.e. sales targets, labour targets, cost controls & wastage
- Willingness to learn, take initiative and think on your feet
- Supporting and developing the team to ensure they are providing the best customer service within an enjoyable workplace
- Maintaining the appearance and presentation of the bakery/café
- Working with management team to improve our bakery/cafe

To succeed in this position, you will have:

- Proven management experience in a similar role
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- The ability to achieve exceptional sales results
- A strong work ethic and a passion for training, developing and motivating team members
- High attention to detail
- Problem and conflict resolution skills
- A reliable and ‘can-do’ attitude
- A full-time availability across weekdays and weekends including opens and closes
- A formal qualification relating to this position, i.e. Diploma, Certificate etc. AND at least two years in a management role

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates
