Monash Youth Services engages, supports, informs and connects young people and community members through inclusive and accessible practice that enables people to be healthy and active members of the Monash Community.
About the Position
Monash Youth Services engage and connect with middle years, young people and community members experiencing homelessness. The youth worker role will be responsible for the development and delivery of a range of youth programs and providing individual youth worker support.
Skills and Experience
Experience and knowledge of supporting young people and their families
Ability to outreach to engage, support and resource marginalised and ‘at risk’ young people, including the wider community
Experience in approaches to supporting young people with diverse needs is desirable
Experience in program facilitation using a youth participation framework
Ability to liaise with a range of mental health, community and education professionals
**Requirements**:
Tertiary qualifications in youth work, social work, psychology or a related field
Employee Working with Children’s Check
Right to work in Australia
Satisfactory National Police Check
Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
