**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**
The City Safety, Security and Amenity Branch works with partners and stakeholders to enable and enhance a vibrant, safe and accessible environment for people living, working and visiting the City of Melbourne. The Branch provides support services to people experiencing homelessness and manages security and emergency responses for the municipality.
The Animal Management Coordinator is responsible for leading, managing, coordinating and developing the animal management service.
In addition the Coordinator will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Council’s Domestic Animal Management Plan which guides Council’s strategic direction and decision making in relation to services and programs for domestic animals within the City of Melbourne. This will include report writing, project management and stakeholder relationship management. As the custodian of the Pathway Animal Registration software module and its functionalities, the position is also responsible for providing training and support to organisational users.
