Are you an experienced swim instructor looking to be part of a passionate, growing team? _**Mermaids International**_ is seeking enthusiastic, proactive, and skilled instructors to join us on a casual basis this summer as we expand our adult-only swim school.

**Who Are We?**
- **Mermaids International**_ operates _**Different Strokes Swimming**_, a specialist adult learn-to-swim school, and _**Sydney Swimmers**_, adult swim squads. We provide structured, technique-based lessons at two world-class, iconic pools: Prince Alfred Park Pool and Victoria Park Pool. We offer our clients the entire swimming journey, from non-swimmer to open water and everything in between. Our focus is on creating a welcoming, supportive environment for adult learners, fostering both confidence and skill in the water. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or newer to swim teaching, you’ll be part of a vibrant swim community that offers visibility and opportunities across Sydney’s swim networks and part of a growing organisation.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Working with Children Check
- Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety - AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia licence
- First Aid Certificate & Current CPR
- National Police Check
- A current Australian work visa (if from overseas)

**Desirable Qualifications**
- Teacher of Adolescents and Adults Qualification
- Teacher of Competitive Strokes

**Desirable Skills**
- Experience in teaching both learn-to-swim and squad training.
- Passion for teaching adults how to swim and stroke correction, with a proactive and independent approach to teaching.
- Strong communication skills to ensure smooth interaction with both clients and fellow coaches.
- A regular pool lap, or open water, swimmer
- Comfortable with operating mobile technology.
- Ability to work autonomously

**What We’re Looking For**

We’re seeking swim instructors who are passionate about teaching adults and want to make an impact on a growing swim school. You’ll work closely with senior instructors and coaches, but you’ll also be expected to take initiative and adapt quickly to new class schedules and clients. If you’re experienced, driven, and looking to join a team that values friendly, timely, and communicative instruction, this is the role for you.
