**The Opportunity**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Manager to join our National Procurement team based at Fairfield Head Office. This position will drive value delivery across the business through category management of consumables such as filters, hoses, bearings, oils & lubricants, lighting, etc. This role will create, implement and manage a comprehensive category management strategy while engaging with various business stakeholders to challenge business cases and drive opportunities throughout the business.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Create, implement, manage and review a comprehensive category management strategy for consumables and sub-category strategies if appropriate
- Liaise closely with the stakeholders across the business to review and challenge business cases and drive opportunities across the enterprise
- Monitor and manage supplier risk, compliance and performance through effective supplier relationship management
- Deliver value across the contract and vendor management processes
- Provide support to non-procurement category managers to determine sourcing strategies
- Execute sourcing RFX activities to deliver recommendations to award to non-procurement category managers across the business
- Provide support to post-contract execution activities as required

**The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for**:

- Experience in a similar role within earth moving or mining industry
- Demonstrated success in delivering value across a broad range of categories
- Demonstrated ability to understand and influence stakeholders and suppliers’ motivations and behaviours to increase business value
- Ability to create and implement plans to support category management strategy and improve end-to-end supply chain management
- Experience in risk management with a focus on the security of supply
- Ability to work with stakeholders at different levels to eliminate corruption and fraud in supply chains
