**Role responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance and optimal performance of enterprise service levels by managing and performing the dissemination and implementation of policies, processes and standards for technical configuration of the enterprise infrastructure.
- Optimise costs of service delivery by designing and developing improvements in particular technology domains within the enterprise infrastructure.
- Maintain and manage effective working relationships and engage with third parties that provide technical support for the enterprise infrastructure.
- Assist in the management of the team's budget, in accordance with the appropriate financial delegations, including developing, and contributing to, funding strategies and budget submissions.
- Assist in the leading and mentoring of the team at strategic and operational levels in the integrated operation of complex enterprise information systems to achieve defined service levels.

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / change / release management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 5, CHMG Level 5)
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse activities and priorities across organisational boundaries to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT environment. Experience in negotiating and managing service level agreements with emphasis on a strong customer focus. (SFIA: SLMO Level 5)
- Well -developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people including senior business and technical stakeholders to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
- Proven ability to lead, and mentor a team of technical specialists. (NHS: Leading change through people)
- Well
- developed management skills and knowledge including high level ability in the areas of planning, managing resources, budget preparation and financial management. (SFIA: FMIT Level 5).
