Experienced Construction/Civil Labourers/Leading Hands

Our well established, Canberra region based local family business seeks experienced labourers and leading hands for commercial demolition and civil works including new building bulk and detail excavations.

For the right applicants we can offer ongoing local employment, a variety of work potentially including operating our range of excavators, skid steer loaders, trucks, etc., leading small teams, and the opportunity for advancement to supervisor roles and to gain further tickets and licences.

Safety is always our first priority, and this is reflected in our investment in our modern fleet of plant, trucks and equipment, and ongoing staff training (including offering the opportunity to gain a Certificate III in Plant Operations).

To be considered for these positions you must have a reliable way to get to work, general induction “white” card and ACT WorkSafe compliant asbestos awareness and silica awareness card.

The following skill sets/experience/qualifications/tickets/licences would also be well regarded;
- A current driver’s licence;
- Experience in the demolition, civil or construction industries;
- Trade qualifications such as carpenter, mechanic, boiler maker, etc.;
- Experience and/or tickets/licences for excavators, skid steer loaders, trucks, boom and scissor lifts, forklift, working at heights, dogging, first aid, formwork, steelfixing, concreting, etc.; and
- Experience leading small teams.

A competitive hourly rate with over time rates over 40 hours will be negotiated with the successful applicants and an immediate start is available.

Overtime is generally available; our team often work 56 hours per week (10 hours a day Monday to Friday and 6 hours Saturday).
