Publicity and Content Officer

The Cultural Facilities Corporation (CFC) is offering a fun temporary opportunity for a comms person to join us for six months to drive publicity and social media for Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG) and the ACT Historic Places.
- You'll help to generate media coverage to promote CMAG and the Historic Places, their exhibitions, and collections to visitors both local and interstate, and create communications strategies to attract local and national media attention, social media chatter, and public awareness.
- You'll need to be able to generate engaging content for organic social media and maintain social media schedules and activity, working with curators, management, and other stakeholders to tell the stories held in these beautiful and important collections and places.
- The Publicity and Content Officer will also assist with media releases, story pitches, and photo opportunities, and work within the broader CFC marketing team and with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- This is a comms job unlike most in ACT Government: come and work among iconic art works and remarkable heritage properties and help tell the stories of people and places that are core to Canberra's identity.
**Note**:This is a temporary position available for a period of six months.
